Federal Inspection Services Building

As part of the $1.458 billion George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) Terminal Redevelopment Program (ITRP), the Federal Inspection Services (FIS) project involved expanding, renovating, and reconfiguring the FIS facility to improve key areas, including processing, baggage claim, meeter/greeter areas, and Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) offices. The project also included demolishing the Terminal D/E parking structure to construct a new international terminal processor facility. This facility, known as the International Central Processor (ICP), will centralize all international carriers' check-in areas, allowing terminals to function solely as gate concourses. Additionally, the FIS building will undergo modernization and upgrades to support the ICP.
