Kerrville Bus Company Administration Building Renovation & Expansion Phases I & II
Sunland provided project management and architectural and civil design services for the Kerrville Bus Administration and Maintenance Facility in San Antonio, Texas. Services included programming and site planning, architectural/civil design, procurement, construction inspection, and related project delivery services for the renovation of the existing bus maintenance/storage facility.
- Phase I: Sunland’s architects completed programming and design for a new 2-bay bus wash building and Sunland engineers designed access, parking, grading, utility, and storm-water quality improvements to accommodate the new site circulation pattern. Sunland also prepared construction plans, specifications, and estimates for review by the City of San Antonio for permitting, and funding by the Texas Department of Transportation. Construction began in October 2010 and was completed in March 2011 allowing much of the site to remain operational during construction.
- Phase II: Sunland completely renovated the existing office facility and increased the usable square footage by 50% to allow for more efficient operation for the Kerrville Bus Company. Phase 2 of this project included planning and design of a repurposed two-story administration building with related access, parking, grading, utility, and stormwater quality appurtenances. Like Phase 1, this phase also included the preparation of construction plans, specifications, and estimates for review by the City of San Antonio for permitting, and the Texas Department of Transportation for funding.
