Project Connect – Green Line Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Study

As part of the Austin Transit Partnership Project Connect, the Green Line will run along CapMetro’s existing freight line between downtown Austin to Colony Park, with future extensions to Manor and Elgin. Improvements will include developing transit stations along the corridor that will provide great places to connect the community to efficient, reliable transit.

The First Phase of the Green Line will be eight miles long to Colony Park and includes seven stations. The additional phases could add an additional 17 miles and three more stations. Commuter rail would operate more frequently and move people quickly and efficiently.

Sunland developed planning/concept level cost estimates for up to five TOD station areas on the Green Line including public elements of the station area concept plans. These were based on recommendations from the Green Line Corridor Plan, informed by the approved station area design guidelines and station area designs.
