Sunland provided cost estimating services for this project which included the development of an 82.2-acre site to store and maintain light rail vehicles (LRV). Site work included electrical, water, telecommunications, sanitary sewer, and natural gas distribution to the five buildings, roadways, parking lots, rail track, storm water collection, secant retaining wall, and landscaping upgrades. The five buildings included a 188,920-sf LRV maintenance facility and train control building, 48,000-sf LRV operations and administration building, 83,765-sf maintenance of way (MOW) building, 16,660-sf public facilities warehouse, and a hi-rail vehicle and storage canopy. Sunland created a conceptual cost estimate to establish the project budget.
